Sources for Coupons Online – Weekly Deals 6/17/10-6/23/10

Over the last decade, the internet has become an incredible resource for saving money. Instead of having to drive from store to store to compare prices, we can just search to find the best prices. In addition, manufacturers offer a large variety of printable coupons for grocery items. So, if you don’t like to bother looking through your coupon inserts from the paper, you can find many of these coupons available online. However, be sure to check with your favorite grocery store because some stores will not accept printable coupons, or they may require that they be printed using color. Sadly, there are many fraudulent coupons surfacing which has caused many stores to change their policies to not accept them.

Before giving you a list of coupon sources, there are a few key things that will indicate that a coupon is probably fraudulent.

1) If it opens up in a pdf file, that allows you to print it as many times as you want. Manufacturers generally allow you a limited number of prints (usually two).

2) If it says “no expiration date” or doesn’t list an expiration date. Coupon offers almost always have an expiration date

3) If it’s for a “free” item. Usually coupons for “free” items are either a promotion on a new product, or they are mailed from the manufacturer as either compensation for a problem, or as a special bonus for being a customer.

You can also check Cent’s Off to see if the coupon is listed as being fraudulent. However, this list is not comprehensive. When in doubt, I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly to find out if the coupon is legitimate or not.
