It’s hard to believe that Labor Day weekend is upon us! Many people want to do something fun, but often don’t want to spend much money. Here are some local Delray Beach Events. Check your city’s calendar for more.

Need more ideas?

1)      Have a picnic or potluck. Invite some friends

2)      Have a water balloon or water gun fight! Kids always love this.

3)      Go swimming

4)      Go to the Beach

5)      Family game night

6)      Family movie night

7)      Go hiking. There are so many great nature centers in South Florida. Check your local area to see what is near you. Wakodahatchee Wetlands, in Delray Beach, Green Cay Nature Center in Boynton Beach and so many more. Click here for more in Palm BeachCounty, and here for BrowardCounty. Some are boardwalks that are open every day, but others may be closed for Labor Day so be sure to check the hours.

8)      Fly a kite. This is such a simple and fun activity that I always loved as a kid but rarely did. Even a cheap kite from a dollar store can provide a good day’s worth of entertainment!

Enjoy your weekend!
